I photographed this singing robin while out walking in the surroundings of Bussum. I had some time to take several shots; the bird didn’t fly off until after a few minutes. It was the golden hour, the time when I go out cycling or running or walking. The sun color against the tree branch matches nicely with the bird’s color.

I normally don’t post nature shots here, but it might be a nice change sometimes. It seems to work well enough on my Instagram, so I thought I’d post this shot on my site as well.

Or “When you just don’t listen”. This shot was done with Psychara, and she was actually standing in front of a large darkgreen door.

I stumbled across a few Photoshop actions and templates on the internet the other day, one of which was ‘Sandstorm’. You have to be careful to pick the right photo with this action, since it’s quite energetic.

The action was made by Sevenstyles and can be found on http://graphicriver.net/item/sandstorm-photoshop-action/10012562 (and no, this is not sponsored, I just find the action very cool).

For this photo it just seemed to accentuate the threatening look. It’s a bit extreme perhaps, but I tend to like photographs that seek up some boundaries.

Here is a shot of a type that I don’t often post; this was taken during Sail 2015 in Amsterdam. It was late in the evening, and there was a beautiful half-clouded sky. Lots of boats were boating on the IJ that evening.

I took this picture and raised the white balance quite a bit in postprocessing (in Lightroom) to get a more overall yellowish look. Other than that, nothing much was changed.

The photo was entered into a competition of Sail photos (sailinbeeld.nl) and ended up as one of the final 9 photographs. It will be on display somewhere soon for some time at Delta Lloyd.

Here is another one from the shoot with Annemiek at dusk. There was a Jinbei Discovery 1200Ws about 5 meters to her right, as you might notice from the hard shadows. The 1200Ws was not at full power though, that would be way too much.

Not too long after that we were asked to leave, since we were a bit too far from the walking path. 🙂
