I usually use Social Media these days; Instagram and Facebook, rather than post here. Seems having your own website is nice but doesn’t get the reach you get from good old IG. 🙂
Anyway, time to post one here I guess; it’s Marion. We went for a day to a museum, shooting both inside and outside in various places. This is one of my favorites.

Here are three shots I took last Easter weekend of Maaike. It was the warmest Easter since recorded history and the apple trees were filled with blossom, so a great opportunity to take some beautiful shots.
We took these in the Betuwe, an area in the Netherlands with lots of fruit trees and places to do some walking or cycling.

A few days ago the summer was still going strong here in the Netherlands. Just about the last warm day, Marion and I went to the beach to catch some last pictures. Right now, the weather is shifting, rain now & then but also some warm sun still.
The rainy and darker parts of the day are good to get back at some photoshopping. I often find that color pictures work better with Marion, but I liked this in black & white slightly better.

Here is a shot I took with Maaike in the Blauwe Kamer, near Rhenen. Always a nice place to walk around, inbetween semi-wild cows and horses. It was in the evening, the sun not that low yet. Lots of large high yellow flowers around.
I still love backlight images, it’s great for hair like this.

A picture not from a shoot this time; this was taken on me and my girlfriend’s recent holiday to Italy. We went to the south of Napels (Cilento) and drove around to various places like Amalfi, Pompeii and even crossed Italy to end up near Polignano a Mare.
There was a lot of opportunity to take pictures; this one is actually one of my favorites, since it is a nice backlight image.

Yesterday I went biking along the heath, which is quite close to home. Of course this has to be done around the golden hour, to get soft directional sunlight. There were some deer, two very large mushrooms, very out of place in mid-Summer and these nice layers of clouds. They look like wings, but admittedly my fantasy is sometimes a bit enthusiastic. 😉

I photographed this singing robin while out walking in the surroundings of Bussum. I had some time to take several shots; the bird didn’t fly off until after a few minutes. It was the golden hour, the time when I go out cycling or running or walking. The sun color against the tree branch matches nicely with the bird’s color.
I normally don’t post nature shots here, but it might be a nice change sometimes. It seems to work well enough on my Instagram, so I thought I’d post this shot on my site as well.
