The light was not particulary bright anymore – thanks to Canon 6D’s excellent ISO properties which still catches enough light. The lens was Canon’s 50/1.4.

The photo was taken in her bedroom and hardly postprocessed except for the obvious black & white conversion. It fits the girl’s character, it was much fun to try this as a change to the controlled studio environment!

Here’s one from Annemiek at de Blauwe Kamer. Slightly reduced to less colors for more impact, and made a bit darker to bring out the yellow/orange sky.

This one was shot with a single Jinbei DC1200 to her right.

I had a visit from Jessica again, and along with her came Simone, from a make-up company in Huizen, Face Two Face. I went for a lighting setup that I had never tried before; a clamshell basis, with a beautydish at the top, and a softbox lying at the floor.

At the sides, at around 45 degrees behind her, there were two striplights to get some rim lighting. All in all this gives an almost high-key effect.
